Tradition Answered
Agriko’s story begins with our founder, Gerry Paglinawan, and a health crisis. In 2013, Gerry was very ill – suffering from chronic pain and fatigue that conventional medicine couldn’t resolve. He was nanghihina at nawawalan ng pag-asa.
In desperation, he turned to a remedy from his childhood: his lola’s luyang dilaw (turmeric) tea. Surprise: Within a few weeks of drinking the traditional turmeric salabat daily, Gerry’s inflammation and pain dramatically subsided!

Gerry began experimenting and perfecting a special blend that combined the best of Philippine herbal remedies. By 2014, he had developed what would become Agriko’s signature 5-in-1 turmeric herbal blend. But Gerry knew that making a great product was just one part of the journey. The other part was spreading it and supporting others.
Supporting Local Farmers
In 2015, he reached out to local farmers in his hometown of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. He saw a win-win opportunity: source ingredients from local organic farmers and in turn create income for them. He formed partnerships with 50+ farming families.

Chapter Three
Agriko is Born
By 2016, Agriko Multi-Trade & Enterprise Corp. was formally established – hooray! 🎉 The name “Agriko” came from a play on “Agree ka? Agriko!” – a fun phrase Gerry’s family would say. It represents getting people to agree to a healthier lifestyle.
